AN EXQUISITE CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL INCENSE BURNERYuan DynastyThepressed globular body rising from three short tapering feet to a waisted neck, the gilt rim surmounted by a pair of loop handles, the exterior decorated with foliate lotus scrolls against a turquoise-blue ground, below a band of gardenia scrolls against a green ground encircling the neck, the base decorated with seven chrysanthemum scrolls.14cm (5 1/2in) wideProvenance: 元 銅胎掐絲琺瑯沖耳爐Compare two related Yuan dynasty cloisonné enamel incense burners in the Palace Museum, Beijing, with similar shape and decoration as the present lot, illustrated inCompendium of Collections in the Palace Museum: Enamels 1, Beijing, 2011, nos.9 and 10.圓唇，口沿兩側鑄沖耳一對，短束頸，鼓腹飽滿下垂，收於三足，紅銅胎，頸部掐絲做連枝梔子花紋一周，花瓣填白、黃、紅等琺瑯料，以淺綠料為地，墨綠料為葉，燒結剔透，玻化較明顯，腹部飾重辦番蓮紋一周，番蓮花瓣花蕊不重色，有紅黃綠紫之屬，葉子填深綠料，尖梢綴以紅彩，底部飾菊紋七朵，銅胎掐絲鎏金。北京故宮博物院藏有兩件元代掐絲琺瑯沖耳爐，形制、紋樣與本件頗似，其中一件配爐蓋，其腹部及底部花紋與本件極似，而另一件則器型更近之，見《故宮博物院藏品大系：琺瑯器篇1》，北京，2011年，編號9及10。
