Superbly enamelled, the present dish is notably rare for the unusual palette of coloured enamels, which exhibits some of the finest elements of late Yuan to early Ming cloisonné enamel: a bright and lustrous semi-translucent quality of the enamels, a colour scheme of blue, red, yellow and white reserved on a bright turquoise-blue ground, the detailed treatment of the tip of each lotus petal and the ruyi-shaped pistil.pare to three examples in the Palace Museum, Beijing, similarly resembling such features found in early Ming cloisonné enamel wares, illustrated inpendium of Collections in the Palace Museum: Enamels 1, Beijing, 2011, nos.25-27.See a cloisonné enamel 'lotus' dish dated first half of 15th century, decorated with related multi-coloured lotus blooms borne on a continuous foliate scroll as the present dish but with a central medallion of a seeded pod encircled by two rows of radiating lotus lappets in the Pierre Uldry collection, illustrated by H.Brinker and A.Lutz in Chinesisches Cloisonné: Die Sammlung Pierre Uldry, Zurich, 1984. pl.14; another simialr example was sold in these rooms, 2 December 2021, lot 28.盤斜腹，平底，下承一周圈足，盤內裡外壁藍地滿飾纏枝番蓮紋，外壁內壁各一層，內底一周番蓮纏繞中心一朵，蓮瓣有紅、黃、藍、白四色，花蕊各色不同，蓮葉成葫蘆形，填深綠料，發色晶瑩剔透，掐絲及盤底鎏金。此盤盤心番蓮紋掐絲極為細緻，蓮瓣每段掐絲收尾處皆作彎鉤狀，花蕊掐絲則彎成如意形，此類作法廣見於明代早期作品，可比較北京故宮藏數件明早期掐絲琺瑯香爐所飾纏枝番蓮紋，見《故宮博物院藏品大系：琺瑯器篇1》，北京，2011年，編號25至27。瑞士Pierre Uldry藏一件十五世紀上半葉之銅胎掐絲琺瑯番蓮紋盤，與本件類似，惟盤心飾方頭蓮瓣，盤形與番蓮紋與本件頗似，見 H.Brinker及 A.Lutz著《Chinesisches Cloisonné: Die Sammlung Pierre Uldry》，蘇黎世，1984年，圖版14。香港邦瀚斯曾售出一件與瑞ã...
