Description: The rich kinji ground decorated with a continuous view of a garden, gated fence and carriages, lacquered in silver and gold takamaki-e with profuse highlights of mura-nashiji and kirikane, the hinged doors opening to reveal within four drawers decorated with a waterside view and an extensive sky above with flocks of birds, applied with silvered-metal mounts chased with scrolling foliage, unsigned;

Condition Report: The top right comer on the door has a loss. There is a separation to the same corner. The bottom Left hand side also has a crack with losses and separation. The rear left hand corner with a crack and some losses. The rear right hand corner with some separation and flaking. Overall the center of the panels are in good shape. With no significant ware or loss to the seams. There are marks on the interior wear the hinges are attached to the body. There is a small chip on the top of the bottom drawer. All of the hardware, hinges and latches and handles, appear to be in good shape. Nothing of note to the underside. The left side front door is slightly loose at the hinges.
