Ca. 960-1278 AD . Pair of Song dynasty blue-green glazed porcelain vases, each having a large handmade dragon, applied around the neck, with an incised under the glaze ring decoration down the neck and fancy raised ruffle decorated shoulder. Both have hat-type lids. One example is missing the tip of one dragon ear and both vases have some loss to the claw tips, one has some small mouth rim flakes, otherwise intact.Size: L:360-370mm / W:130-140mm ; 3.36kgProvenance: Property of a Central London Gallery, acquired on the US art market ex.
