Ca. 1390-1352 BC. Egyptian white steatite scarab with inscribed hieroglyphs to the reverse, detailing a seated goddess holding the 'ankh' symbol for life. The feather headdress identifies her as the goddess Ma'at. A sun disk and basket sign (transliterated as 'neb') are also depicted. The throne name of Amenhotep III was Nebmaatre, meaning "the Lord of Truth is Re. The reign of Amenhotep III was a particularly long and prosperous one, with Egypt reaching the height of its power during this time.
