白玉质，玉质温润致密，包浆厚重。器呈近长方形扁平状，雕琢两鲶鱼，相互缠绕，口衔瑞草，鱼眼、鼻、鳍、须各部刻画准确，整体十分写实，肌理细腻生动，刻画一丝不苟，鲶鱼谐音年余，寓意“年年有余”，中国自古就有食用鲶鱼的记载，《食经》：“主虚损不足，令人皮肤肥美”。此件抛光精良，线条流畅优美，工艺精良。
