翡翠质，种水俱佳，色泽莹润鲜艳。器表碾琢葫芦、松树和蝙蝠等纹饰，叶片舒展翻卷，叶脉分明，刻画精细，颇具工艺难度，动静结合，有福寿双全的吉祥寓意。明清时期，多子、多福、长寿、富贵等世俗化的吉祥观念极为流行，艺术品的装饰图案达到“图必有意，意必吉祥”的程度。葫芦又名匏瓜，其枝“蔓”与万谐音，每个成熟的葫芦里籽实众多，藤蔓绵延，人们赋予它多子多福、福禄万代之美好吉意，为清代常见吉祥玉题材。整体线条有力，寓意多子多福，材美工精，宝蕴温醇。
