A SMALL MING DYNASTY SANCAI-GLAZED POTTERY WATER POTChina, Ming dynasty (1368-1644) or possibly earlier. Of compressed globular form, supported on a circular foot, and surmounted by a short straight lip. The body covered in green glaze with yellow and aubergine splashes at the shoulders. Condition: Good condition with minor surface wear, glaze losses, a tiny chip to the lip, and some manufacturing flaws. Provenance: Estate of André Dubreuil (1951-2022). Renowned for his innovative furniture and decorative arts, André Dubreuil was a leading designer, whose background as an antiques dealer and painter informs his artworks. Dubreuil established himself as a designer in 1986, with the production of his ‘Spine Chair’.
