A FAMILLE ROSE ENAMELED ‘LOTUS’ PORCELAIN CUP, c. 1930sChina, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) – Republic Period (1912-1949). In the form of a lotus flower rising from a foot shaped as a green gnarly stem and issuing leaves, the exterior with petals enameled in shades of rose darkening towards the upper rim, the interior covered in a crackled turquoise glaze.Condition: Good condition, minor wear, and firing flaws including pitting, few minuscule flakes to the enamel. Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1970 and has remained in the family ever since.Weight: 176 gDimensions: Height 6 cm
