13th-6th century BC. A bronze dagger with lentoid-section tongue-shaped blade, integral tapering hilt with flared finial, inset panel of bone to each face forming the grip. See Khorasani, M.M. Arms and Armour from Iran. The Bronze Age to the End of the Qajar Period, Tübingen, 2006. 330 grams, 37.8cm (14 3/4"). Property of a Mayfair lady; formerly in an important London collection formed since 1965. Fine condition.
