AN ENAMELED YIXING TRAY, QING DYNASTY
China, 1644-1912. The stoneware brightly enameled to a beautiful landscape scene of dwellings in the mountains. A man is collecting wood from a willow tree beneath a mountain range with three scepter-shaped peaks.
Provenance: From an English private collection.
Condition: Good condition with fine patina, one small chip to outer rim. Minor glaze flakes mostly to edges. Some firing flaws. Old wear, tiny scratches and traces of use.

Dimensions: 28.2 x 19.5 x 3.5 cm, height including stand 32.5 cm
The rim with a key fret border, the exterior with peonies amid their vines and leaves, the underside with a fine robin’s egg glaze, the four raised triangular feet revealing the brown ware. Note the fine, intentional crackling to the white background. Fitted wood stand. (2)
