Glaslüster
Height: 101 cm.
Naliboki Urzecze, Poland, 18th / 19th century.
Four-armed construction, the arms in twisted glass with rich chandelier decorations. The central balustrated glass shaft is accentuated by a gilded metal bowl and ends with a similar end towards the ceiling. With glass chandelier trimming hanging down from there. The eaves shells in metal.
Note:
The local glassworks and grinders in Naliboki Urzecze belonged to the Radziwill family and existed from 1722 to 1864. Workers were also recruited from Germany, especially from Saxony. A larger number of comparable chandeliers from the second half of the 18th century can be found in Nieborów Castle, which, according to a Polish art historian, are secured by invoices for the manufacture. The Manufactory exported such chandeliers mainly to Northern Germany, where they can be found in various castles. (12205011) (13)
