In the interior of a rural parlour with open fireplace a standing young woman, holding a small child by a corridor, who tries his first steps towards the grandmother sitting on a chair, who has spread her hands for reception. The father sitting at the table next to her, with a pipe in his right hand, is watching attentively. In the shaded background, next to the wooden entrance door, there is a small cradle and numerous objects on the walls and on the mantelpiece. Fine idyllic genre painting with many details.
