Below a landing flanked by a plinth in volute form with a vase standing on it, an elegant company. In the centre sits a lady in a shiny white silk damask dress, with an antique pink cloak, holding flowers in her hands. Next to her is a lady looking towards the ground, in a darker gown with a narrow bodice, and on the left another lady and a standing elegant man in hunting clothes, with a tricorn on his head and holding a long gun in his right hand. In front of the group, sitting on the ground, a little girl in blue robe, playing with a brown and white spaniel. At the left edge of the picture, sitting on a piece of rock, a young man in back view with a red jacket, probably waiting for the start of the hunt. In the background left view into the wide landscape with river, houses and a mountain, under a high cloudy sky. Gallant representation in restrained colours. (1222353) (18)
