A stained oak, horn, and silver plate mounted coat hook, late 19th/early 20th century, possibly American, each horn issuing from an oval backplate mounted with a shield cartouche and a hook, 28cm high, 48cm wide, and a pair of mounted horns, modern, probably from long horn cattle, the central portion clad with cow hide, mounted on a pine cartouche, 113cm wide overall Condition Report: The smaller example has some marks, scratches and knocks to the wood and a handful of small chips to the edges, as well as some patination to the horn and metal consistent with age. There is some movement between the horns and mounts. The other has usual minor marks, knocks scuffs and natural irregularities in the material Condition Report Disclaimer
