He served several positions, such as vice president of China Artists Association, a professor at College of Fine Arts, Shanghai University and president of Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles. His representative works include I Need to Report to Chairman Mao, The Manchus Entering Shanhai Pass and Unforgettable Memory-Nanking 1937.
