A slender carnelian cylinder seal with intaglio scene depicting a robed figure on a seat wearing a headdress with one hand raised and the other extended forwards towards a bird in flight above a winged ibex leaping over a hoop followed by a second winged ibex leaping, star above; accompanied by a museum-quality impression. 1.3 grams,16mm (1/2"). From an important Mayfair collection, 1970-1999; thence by descent.
