A dark red jasper Liang Zhu Style amulet in the form of a stylised cicada, flat to the base, convex to the top; gusseted between and widening to form lips to either side, pierced transversely; to the base a segmented plastron decorated with spiral, hatched and linear sections; to the top, a mask with large circular eyes and a rectangular nose, filled with spirals and hatching. 255 grams, 75mm (3"). Ex Zhuang collection; acquired from the late 1990s.
