18th/19th century Of flattened double-gourd form with an integral cover surmounted by a small double-gourd finial rising from the center of an open blossom, flanked by openwork marigold sprig-form handles suspending loose rings, each side carved in low-relief with four of the 'Eight Auspicious Emblems' with high-relief carvings of two bats and two pots of narcissus encircling the waist, all supported on a splayed foot ring, the pale translucent stone with some cloudy-white inclusions and lustrous polish. 11 1/4in (28.6cm) high
