18th/19th century Finely carved as a towering peak mountain with steep jagged cliffs and overhangs, one side detailed with two sages walking up a mountain path towards a waterfall with a pavilion above, the reverse with a large russet patch on a smooth cliff face, the landscape punctuated with trees, the natural fissures in the stone incorporated into the carving to create different planes imparting a sense of depth, the white stone with enhanced russet coloration. 6 3/4in (17.3cm) high
