款识：胡文明制 香瓶为焚香器具之一，与香炉、香盒共称为“瓶炉三事”。炉以燃香，盒贮香料，瓶内可插铲香灰所用的铲、箸，也可以把这三件摆放在几案上作为陈设品，此为用材多为珍贵的牙角、玉器、漆器、金银铜器等。此件长颈香瓶，唇口微敞，溜肩，垂腹，承矮圈足。香瓶为铜质，以错银工艺装饰缠枝莲纹，并有鎏金工艺装饰瓶口。圈足内刻“胡文明制”四字双行篆书款。胡文明，明万历年间的铸铜工艺名匠，云间人（今上海），据明人《云间杂志》记载，胡文明擅长铸铜香炉与文房器具，善仿作古铜器，制彝、鼎、尊、卣之属极精，时称“胡炉”，为后世所推崇。参阅：《文玩萃珍 Arts from the Scholar's Studio》，东方陶瓷学会，1986年，页240，图230
