花觚敞口，束颈，腹部微鼓，圈足外撇。整器作锦地纹饰，上作鎏金图案，从口沿至圈足分三部分，上部仰莲纹开光内饰灵芝、折枝花卉、乐器、八宝等图案，中部、下部饰折枝花卉、秋葵、灵芝水仙图案。此觚造型仿商代铜觚形制，造型古雅，整体为明代胡文明制铜器风格。胡文明为明万历年间松江府人，铸铜工艺名匠。擅长铸造铜炉、人物，时称“胡铜”，在当时即为人所推崇珍惜，故此器收藏价值极高。参阅：《文玩萃珍 Arts from the Scholar's Studio》，东方陶瓷学会，1986年，页246，图237
