A pair of late George II cast silver shaped square candlesticks by John Perry, London 1755, the detachable sconces unmarked, inverted baluster knopped stems, the moulded bases engraved with a crest, 20cm (8in) high, 901g (28.5 oz) The crest for TARLETON. Condition Report: Both wobble slightly on a flat surface. One has a small dent to the mid section and small holes to the underside of the join of the mid section and the top fluted section, there is also a small hole to the base. The bases have very rubbed stippled remains of an engraving. The other has a solder mark to the base of the bowl and has gaps in the join from the base to the stem. The hallmarks are clear and readable. The sconces are unmarked; one has minor creases and pin holes around the petals, the other has surface pitting. Condition Report Disclaimer
