A pair of late George II cast silver shaped square candlesticks by John Cafe, London 1755, the detachable sconces unmarked, inverted baluster knopped stems, the moulded bases engraved with a crest, 20cm (8in) high, 873g (28.05 oz) The crest for TARLETON. Condition Report: One sits fairly stable on a flat surface, the other wobbles. Both have holes on the bases. One has small pits on the solder line on the bowl. Both have clear readable hallmarks. The sconces are unmarked, both have holes, creases and signs of repair, the collar on one sconce is split. Condition Report Disclaimer
