A mid Victorian and later diamond serpent hinged bangle, the coiled serpent with scrolled foliate blue enamel decoration, the head set with a pear cut diamond estimated to weigh 0.61 carats, to graduated mine cut diamonds and a diamond accented tail, approximately 0.65 carats total, to a later concealed clasp, inner width 5.5cm, 23.9g gross, in a hinged leather box stamped Wartski, 33, Mostyn Street, Llandudno Condition Report: The blue enamel is largely re enamelled, and has damage. The tongue clasp has been put in where the bangle would have originally has a sprung hinge. The raised claw settings have repairs to the base, there are possible repairs and resetting to the diamonds on the tail. Diamonds bright and lively, colour J-L, clarity SI-I. Although repaired the bangle is well hinged, and the clasp works well, it is still in a wearable condition. Although untested it is in our opinion a higher carat gold. Condition Report Disclaimer
