A George III mahogany and brass bound plate bucket, late 18th century, probably Irish, 45cm high, 37cm wide Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old chips and splits. The joints between the boards that make up the sides of the bucket have opened. The boards are loose but remain in position, this has caused movement within the structure of the bucket overall. Some small old plugged holes to the sides. The brass elements bear the expected scuffs, dents and minor variation in colour. They have a polished appearance. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition.
