A black-lacquer four-case inro By Kanshosai Toyo, 19th century The vertical rectangular body with a rich roiro ground decorated with a goat walking with its head turned back, in gold and silver togidashi maki-e, the reverse with wind-blown grasses in similar style and the interior of matt black lacquer with gold fundame shoulders and rims, signed Toyo with a kao; with a faceted glass ojime. 9.2cm (3 1/8in) high.
