A Victorian turquoise brooch, c.1840, of rectangular lobed form with foliate scrolls and polished beads to each end. A cluster of circular cabochon turquoise, claw set to the centre, with textured acanthus leaves to each lobe, with a plain pin and 'C' catch. Tested as approximately 18ct gold, pin as approximately 9ct gold. 45 x 28mm, 8.23g Condition report: Tarnish to the reverse, some to the front. Small dent to the edge of one end bead. Not noticeable when viewed head on. Natural variations in the colour of the turquoise.
