The Property of a Lady 女士藏品 A PAIR OF JADEITE SNUFF BOTTLES 19th century Each of flattened ovoid form, one-side with a bright apple-green surface which possibly simulates a lush green landscape amidst snow, the reverse with a mutton fat white ground, rose quartz stoppers. Each 6.5cm (2 1/2in) high. (4). 注脚 十九世紀 翠玉鼻煙壺一對 Provenance: Parry Collection, London, and thence by descent 來源: 倫敦Parry家族收藏,並由後人保存迄今 This unusual pair of bottles belongs to a series of late 18th to early 19th century jadeite bottles of flattened rectangular form, which often have dark green flecks into the paler, almost white material, known as 'pine needles in snow'.
