Ca. 300-400 AD An ancient Roman wheel-thrown redware pottery dish of a squat form that rests atop a flat base. The vessel features broad walls, a shallow basin, and a groove between the rim and basin that was meant to accommodate a lid. The center of the basin is decorated with a four-pointed star surrounded by four stylised concentric bullseye patterns. For similar see: Forrer; Sigillata Pottery of Heiligenberg.
