Ca. 900-700 BC An extremely fine and ancient Elamite bronze sword featuring a thin sharp blade with pair of prominent midribs decoratively conjoining to the cylindrical hilt. The hilt is decorated with triangular motifs which continue up to the guard; a pronounced disc sits midway. The grip swells into a large spherical pommel which balances the weight of the weapon.
