Northern Wei Dynasty, Ca. 386-534 AD A grey pottery brick portraying Buddha in a seated pose wearing a voluminous robe. His right hand is in Abhaya Mudra, whilst left one is in Karana Mudra. Standing underneath a chaitya arch with a stylised blue halo behind him. Size: L:170mm / W:330mm ; 4.19kg Provenance: Property of a North London gentleman; previously acquire on the UK/European art market in the 1980s.
