Table clock, Empire period. France, early 19th century. Gilt bronze. The pendulum and the key are missing. Needs to be overhauled (does not work). A needle is missing. Measurements: 39 x 24 x 10 cm. Desk clock from the Empire period, with the case and the sculptural decoration in gilded bronze. It has a base decorated with vegetal reliefs. On the clock`s case is a round representation of Eros, who has left his box to one side. A lyre (Apollo`s instrument) rests on the case. The dial of the clock has Roman numerals in black on a white background, with Breguet-type hands (one is missing), and is bordered on the outside by a bronze floral wreath.
