An extremely rare votive plaque comprised of high-grade silver (96% silver) most likely used to decorate a temple - depicting lobsters, fishes, beans, fruit, and cactus leaves (for eating as well) in repousse. Note: At the time of Inca conquest Spanish soldiers encountered temple walls dedicated to the Moon Goddess that were decorated with plaques similar to this one. Size: 7" W x 8.75" H (17.8 cm x 22.2 cm); 12.25" H (31.1 cm) on included custom stand.
