**Originally Listed At $500** Pre-Columbian, Central America, Panama, Gran Cocle, ca. 600 to 1000 CE. A fine gathering of 3 hand-built pottery vessels from ancient Panama. First is a footed bowl with angular walls, a thick rim, and abstract linear bands - some with serrations - in hues of black adorned with purple and red pigments on a cream ground. Next is a spherical jar featuring an abstract zoomorphic creature with clawed arms, bulging eyes, and spots and scales all brought forth with black pigment. The largest vessel is a pedestal dish with a massive, flared foot beneath a shallow bowl. Within the bowl are 2 sections of serrated curvilinear bands, and the rim is decorated with 3 banded sections.
