**Originally Listed At $400** Native American, Southeastern or Midwestern United States, Mississippian, ca. 900 to 1543 CE. A hand-built pottery bowl of minimalist form with a slightly rounded but stable base, tall walls, and a thin rim that surrounds a basin lined with black pigment. Incised across the exterior surfaces are 4 sizable linear bars filled with either dense crosshatching or sparse serrations, each enclosed within a curvilinear border that separates each bar from its neighbor.
