Green celadon jade with partial cloudy inclusions and calcified areas, the stone of a subtle coloring with fine and smooth surface polish. China, Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD)
Oval carving in the very flattened shape of a stylized cicada with broad head and pointed fins, the frontside with finely incised cicada relief, the head with large protruding circular eyes, crisp grooved lines delineating the head and the wings, verso with plain and flattened surface
Shape: Oval and very elongated shape with rounded sides, the minimal domed frontside with incised relief, at the tip of the head two drilling holes for the mounting
Dimensions: 6,7 cm (height), 3,4 cm (width), 0,4 cm (depth)
Condition: Good condition consistent with its age, minimal chips to the drilling holes for the mounting as typical traces of use, very subtle and smooth hand patina
