Mid Qing Dynasty|Each potted of dark or reddish brown clay, with incised designs and applied duanni decoration of peonies and butterflies, the tall cup and the circular small bowls each with an impressed seal mark to the base.|The largest: 15.8cm (5 7/8in) wide (6).|The Victoria and Albert Museum holds several examples of Yixing stoneware with this type of decoration. An unmarked saucer similar to the pair in the present lot is no. C.35B-1947; and a lidded bowl, signed by Shao Kuiyi, is no. C.35&A-1947.
