TWO CLOISONNE AND ENAMELED SNUFF BOTTLES, c. 1920sChina, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The first of flattened globular shape rising from an oval foot to a short waisted neck, enameled on an ochre ground with leafy pomegranate and peonies, the neck flanked by two handles, the stopper with a pink glass cabochon and bone spoon. The second of ovoid body rising from a ring foot to a short cylindrical neck, cloisonné work with distinct stylized flower heads against a black ground, the matching stopper similarly decorated and with a bone spoon. Condition: The cloisonné bottle in very good condition with minor wear and expected manufacturing flaws such as pitting. The enameled bottle showing wear and manufacturing irregularities, rubbing, pitting, small nicks to the copper and minor touch-ups, the glass stopper with two tiny chips. Provenance: Estate of an Austrian collector, the collection was assembled in the 1980s – 1990s through purchases at Galerie Zacke and other specialized galleries in Vienna.Weight: 102 g (total) Dimensions: Height 6.5 cm and 7.5 cm
