AN IMPORTANT BRONZE FIGURE OF AKSHOBHYA, TIBET, ca. 14th ct., seated in vajrasana on a lotus base with his right hand in bhumisparshamudra while the right is resting on his lap, wearing dhoti secured with a broad belt, scarf floating around his shoulders engraved with medallion motifs, bejewelled including various necklaces, one set with some precious stones, armlets, bracelets and anklets, his cold-gilded face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, urna, smiling lips, painted facial details, the elongated earlobes with pierced large circular ear-rings, his hair combed in a high chignon topped with a ratna, secured with a tiara decorated with a pair of pattras and floating ribbons, with inventory number BT 81, unsealed - The bease at the reverse with loss of 4 x 3 cm, the left sleeve near the knee incomplete
