A RARE AND COMPLETE SAMURAI ARMOR WITH KABUTOIron, leather, lacquer, silk, gildingJapan, Edo periodA rare and impressive complete samurai armor including the helmet, or kabuto, with open tehen no kanamono and five-part lacquered iron plates shikoro with sugake odoshi. The very impressive mounting lacquered in gold and the front piece in the form of a ferocious oni mask, the horns shaped like a half-crescent moon. The facemask hanbo and made of iron with four lame yodare-kake (throat guards). The ribbed black chest protector is a do-maru, which can be opened on the side.
