A GILT COPPER GUARDIAN KING, TIBET 17TH CENTURY
In this imposing Densatil school repoussé work, the worldly protector wears a Mongolian armor and felt boots. He is surrounded by heavenly bands and bears highly detailed incision work. Remnants of old cold painting.
Provenance: Peter Hardt, Germany (before 2003). Acquired by Max Weiss of Konstanz, Germany, from the above for 13.500,- German Marks (ca. 6.700,- Euro). Thence by descent in the same family.
Condition: The gilding comes in excellent preservation. Besides that, the statue shows wear and losses as visible on the images. Absolutely original condition with no hidden damages or restorations whatsoever!
