A George I walnut child's high chair, circa 1720, the tapering back with vase shaped splat, flanked by outscrolled open arms on turned supports, the solid tapering rectangular seat, above outswept square section and turned legs, joined by a turned peripheral stretcher, 97cm high, 49cm wide, 41cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old chips and splits. Various areas of filler to surface. Various old nail repairs to base of splat. Old peg dowel repairs to joints. Spliced repair to one rear leg. Fillets of replacement timber inset to both front legs from where foot rest once sat. Glued repair to centre of front stretcher. Later blocks to underside of seat.
