A pair of George III mahogany torchere stands, circa 1765, in the manner of Ince & Mayhew, each 92cm high, the tops 24cm diameter Condition Report: Both with marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old chips and splits - see images. Old repairs to the raised edges of the tops, with sections of moulding re-stuck and filler applied to the sides in places. Old glued repair to splits to foot in area adjacent to roundel. One torchere with glued repairs to splits to stem where it meets one leg - see images.
