铜漆金中原龙女为观音身旁童女，佛经记述她是婆竭罗龙王的小女儿，是法华会上的有名人物。龙女自幼智慧通达，八岁时已善根成熟，在法华会上当众示现成佛。后来龙女在文殊师利菩萨的引导下，前往参拜南海观音大士，大士收在座前，与善财童子共同襄佐观音菩萨，救渡娑婆世界苦难众生。《法华经》中曾讲‘龙女献宝，顿成正觉’之事，即是本尊立像所再现献情景。此尊龙女奉盘站立，龙女面容丰满，表情矜持中而略带笑意，既有胁侍的谦逊，又有成就者的大气。身着宽袖长裙，身形窈窕，气度端庄，华美脱俗，所配耳铛等佩饰简洁而精致。造型饱满，制工精致，雕琢上注重姿态表情及服饰衣纹等细节的刻画，强调线条自身婉转流动的韵律之感，展现出明代造像追求唯美写意之风格，可为明代造像之佳作。
