A French gilt-bronze carriage clock, mid-19th century, by Paul Garnier, the engine turned silvered dial signed 'Paul Garnier Paris', the drum movement with platform escapement visible through an oval top glass, outside count wheel and striking the half hours on a bell, the backplate inscribed 'P.G. Brevete Paul Garnier H'er du Roi Paris', the carrying handle emanating from lion's masks, 14cm wide 12cm deep 23.5cm high Condition report: Ticks away quite happily, silvering to dial grubby, some wear to darker patinated areas especially on sides and back door.
