A Chinese qingbai foliate rimmed dish, Northern Song (1127-1279), the rim shaped to form six petals, decorated to the interior with an incised flower, covered in a pale white-green glaze, the base unglazed and burnt orange in the firing, 17.2cm diameter Provenance: From the collection of the late J.B. da Silva (1918-2003) and by family descent. Bought at Christie's South Kensington for £458, 10th April 1984, lot 156.
