Document case, second half of the 18th century. In wood lined with leather and embossed cordovan. Interior in silk moiré. Measurements: 23.5 x 24 x 15 cm. Document case, as can be deduced from the three drawers that compartmentalise the interior. This type of case was an object of great luxury in the late Baroque period. Stylistically, they are inspired by Italian Renaissance models: the cordovan in relief bears depictions of lute players and flute players, figures that follow a Renaissance canon, in turn inspired by Ancient Greek musicians. The rim and border on the sides are in the style of the Louis XVI period, as is typical of furniture and decorative objects from the last decades of the 18th century.
