Ca. 13th-14th Century AD A falchion of the ‘Cusped’ type. Such blades are very rare. Pommel missing. Blade good condition, with minor surface pitting. The cross guard is thin with bobbles on the ends, of the ‘tommy bar’ type. One edge of the sword has been cut back, producing a one edged, fullered sword. However, the last third of the blade, to the tip is double sided and reminiscent of some medieval falchions. Size: L:1111mm / W:261mm ; 1.15kg Provenance: Ex.
