Ca. 1250-650 BC A bronze terminal for a whetstone in the form of an ibex with small triangular head, long recurved horns, large discoid eyes and lanceolate ears, lying in a recumbent pose underneath a socket with forelegs folded back along the underside of the socket. On the opposite end a stylised zoomorphic beast. Size: L:122mm / W:91mm ; 480g Provenance: Private London collection (B.A.); formerly acquired in the 1970s from John Lees collection.
